homecoming..

the flyer football field used to feel like home to me. some things haven't changed. but some have. this friday night was different than normal. i wasnt with my squad, i didnt know any of the players names or numbers, i wasnt performing, and looking up into the crowd i couldnt find any familiar faces. sitting on the field watching the jetettes perform i was feeling butterflies. why was i nervous? i wasnt doing anything! i think it was simply out of habit. we always performed after them. its amazing how quickly things come back to you. being out there, just the five of us brought back so many memories.we were all such good friends and still are. i love these girls. i love the experience our senior year was. everything about it. especially the fact that we won our homecoming game. thats kind of a big accomplishment for dixie. i probably wont be back, especially not in a cheer uniform, so...
