{chicago illinois temple}
doing baptisms once a week is on my bucket list of things to do while im here.
something i found interesting: temples in utah are just about the only ones who are staffed to do baptisms round the clock. for some reason the thought never crossed my mind that it would be a problem to just walk in and do baptisms. they dont do that here in chicago. there just arent enough members. you have to make appointments.

lucky for me everyone was so nice, no surprise there though. temple workers always are. i kind of felt stupid that i was the only one and they had to make special accommodations for me. but talk about a cool experience.. i was the only one in the baptistry. before going into the water the temple president came in to meet me and looked me straight in the eyes and bore his testimony. to just me. no one else.

im so glad i made the effort to go. the temple is an hour drive from where i live. it was such a pretty day.. afterwards i treated myself to cpk where i ate an entire pizza by myself.
lesson learned: never take for granted living a mile from the temple and being able to drive past it everyday. and make appointments from now on when you're not in utah.
pretty pretty temple! it sounds like you are doing better. I hope so :) miss you and loving your blog! keep it up!
