friday september twenty fourth

i was determined not to sit in my bedroom on friday night. so after calling the very few friends i have and learning that none of them could go i bought a single ticket to the broadway show rock of ages.

you may think.. oh how sad is that. im sure the people around me thought the same thing. cause im pretty sure i was the only one who wasnt with friends or on a date. but surprisingly enough i didnt feel one bit bad for myself. i had had a rough week to say the least and i was excited to be out of the house. while sitting in the train station i was feeling really nervous, but i rode the train down to the city and back, hailed a taxi cab by myself, and thoroughly enjoyed the show. everyone around me was drinking. i was eating milk duds. ha.

this show is a humorous love story that takes place in the 80's on hollywood blvd in la. the music includes all the great 80's rock classics from journey, styx, reo speedwagon, starship, pat benatar, bon jovi, and many more. it was extremely funny. im so glad i didnt let going alone stop me. it was so so good.
