{day two}
first stop:: willis (sears) tower
welcome to the tallest building in the world.

i was at the very tip top of this building. sooo high.
the observation deck is all enclosed but there are four glass cut outs that you can walk out on to. scary!! i swear they were shaking but they've been around for a lot of years so i guess its safe. i wasnt a big fan.
view from 103 stories up.
also taken from one of the pop outs. the cars look teeny.
stop number two:: lincoln park zoo
how sad is it that this was my first time ever to a zoo? can you say deprived childhood... apparently i went to hogle zoo when i was a little tike but i dont remember it and there are no pictures to prove it. so this was my first zoo experience!
i kind of want a pet lion. its so fluffy.
we actually didnt get to see alot of animals, but the zoo itself was so beautiful. cobblestone walkways, amazing huge trees, massive ponds. the atmosphere was what made it so great. the monkeys were quite hilarious. the black one pictured above was quite the entertainer. a little boy had his face smashed up against the glass and the monkey grabbed a rope and swung right into the window where the little boy was. scared everyone! the monkey started to dance and pull faces at this little boy who looked over to his mom and said "um i feel kind of scared right now" haha cutest kid. couldnt have been older than 4 years old.
scariest thing ever. his face looked so mean!
next:: walk down all of state street
favorite 2 pictures of the whole trip
you wouldnt believe all the attempts made to get this picture perfect. 27 tries. no joke. 4 pedestrians and 23 self taken photos. but we got it!

last stop of the day::ferris wheel ride at navy pier
view from the top looking back on all the city lights. pictures dont do it justice.
i've been wanting to do this for the longest time. before i even moved here. i loved it.
such a good day!!
