day at the field museum..night at billy elliott

the field museum is seriously massive. spent six hours walking around and didnt even make it to a whole floor. so big. there were so many interesting things to see. my favorite had to have been the ancient egypt displays. they had multiple mummies, real ones! if i had to live in a different time period i would definitely have wanted to live in egypt in its height of glory. only as royalty though..so much gold!

they also had a ginormous display of gems. diamonds, rubies, sapphires, you name it. they had it. so crazy how big some of those rocks were! i saw so many interesting things. loved it! *why is it that when you ask someone to take a picture it never looks good. NEVER. got like the whole floor but cut off the top of the elephant. ugh people struggle.

that night, last minute, i got a ticket to billy elliott on the seventh row.

not sure what all the fuss about this show was about..i quite frankly didnt like it. there were parts i enjoyed, but overall the best part about it was how hot billy's brother was. in one song they said the f word at least 20 times.. like really? did you have to do that? and billy was played by the understudy..who was asian. it wasnt what i had expected or hoped for..
